巨大蜂窝（Gigantic Beehive）是多人版饑荒中獨有的自然生成物品，於版本「新王朝」更新中介紹。巨大蜂窝可以在牧草地與其他蜂巢一起被發現。它長的就像一個正常的蜂巢，但尺寸大得多了。巨大蜂窝裡居住著女王蜂，使用錘子錘擊數下之後便會從蜂巢中現身。
頂部的孔會流著蜂蜜，而使用錘子錘擊 2 下後會減少流出的蜂蜜大小，並掉落 1－2 個蜂蜜到地上，有時候也會掉落 1 個蜂窩。在頂部的蜂蜜消失前，蜂蜜是可以在不生成女王蜂的狀況下進行重複採收的。頂部的蜂蜜每 5 天就會增長一次，敲擊後便能獲得更多的蜂蜜。要注意的是，就算玩家無意讓女王蜂生成，每隔幾天就敲打它來採收蜂蜜終究會生成女王蜂。
巨大蜂窝在被破壞後會在地面上留下一個蜂巢巢室，且無法在上面行走。它會在大約 20 天後重新生成，這讓蜂窩也可以重新生成。
